Original versions

(The spots are currently only available in the German-language cut.)
A film only offers the full cinema experience in the original. Even if you don’t speak Finnish, Urdu or Basque – the colour of the language and the emotions in the performance give you the whole pleasure of cinema. Exactly as the makers intended. Because every film and every actor loses their original character with dubbed voices.
The spots are meant to encourage audiences to choose the original version rather than the dubbed one at the cinema. Together with Addictive Films, three spots were made to show that great feelings such as love, anger or despair only really sound like that in the original.
Inspired by classic studio-film genres, a French amour fou, British working-class cinema and a Finnish weltschmerz drama were staged. Actors at home in those genres use their original language on purpose – among them Illka Koivula from Aki Kaurismäki’s «Lights in the Dusk», and Déborah Révy from Gaspar Noé’s «Love».
